About EthosPower

Engineer First. AI Specialist Second.

Nearly four decades of power systems engineering across ABB, ExxonMobil, and major LNG projects. Now I apply that same discipline to AI solutions for the energy sector.

My Story

Intelligence with an Engineering Pedigree

I didn't learn about energy from a textbook. I designed standby power for billion-dollar LNG projects. I was ABB's sole global UPS specialist, overseeing US$500M+ annually in critical power systems. I kept airport radar running when failure wasn't an option.

That experience shapes every AI solution I build. When I automate a workflow or deploy a custom agent, I think like an engineer: reliability, safety margins, graceful degradation, documented procedures.

EthosPower isn't a tech startup learning energy on the job. It's an engineering consultancy that happens to be very good at AI.

Core Values

Principles that guide how I work with clients and approach every engagement.

Service

Aiming to be of genuine service to clients and their organizations, not just delivering outputs.

Honesty

Direct communication, realistic project assessments, and transparent pricing. No hype, no inflated promises.

Ethics

Delivering projects in ethical ways that strengthen local human capacity and leave lasting benefit.

Respect

Honouring the socioeconomic structures and cultural contexts of the countries where I operate.

Built on Real-World Experience

Every AI system I build carries the discipline of power systems engineering — where reliability is non-negotiable, safety margins matter, and graceful degradation is designed in from day one.

How We Work

Remote-First

I work remotely from New Zealand — keeping costs reasonable and passing the savings on.

AI-Augmented

I use a 6-agent AI development workflow and 26+ MCP integrations to deliver what used to require a team.

Open Source Tools

I run my practice on open-source platforms — the same tools I help clients implement.

Flexible Pricing

Traditional rates available, plus a 'Pay What Feels Right' option for qualifying projects.
